The following Regions of Interest (ROI’s) can be imaged and trained with the BrainAvatar LLP Live Loreta Projector and 19-channel training options. The numbers are those to be used in the Event Wizard equation, such as:
x=LoretaROIA(1, 1) means the band 1 (delta) activity in the Frontal Lobe.
x=LoretaROIA(2003, 3) means the band 3 (alpha) activity in the Cingulate Gyrus.
This simple interface provides access to 16 different frequency bands of information, in 87 brain Regions of Interest. sLORETA neurofeedback is as simple as conventional neurofeedback, simply by replacing an electrode sensor site with a brain location. That is, instead of simply training a spot on the scalp, you can train a location defined inside the cortex of the brain. As an interesting aside, by selecting these ROI’s in the LLP display and watching the changes, it is possible to use this system as a brain region training program. It teaches about the brain and the EEG, as well as being a biofeedback assessment and intervention.
There have been 3 implementation for selecting a Region of Interest. There is no wrong answer, and any will work:
