The Temp Pod provides a standard thermal sensor interface to thermocouple or passive infrared(pIR) sensors. Two sensors are currently available: the finger temp sensor, and the pIR HEG headband. Finger temperature training is often used in general biofeedback, as an indication of the client’s state of arousal. The pIR HEG headband is produced by Dr. Jeffrey Carmen, and is an experimental device. When used in this fashion, the HEG biofeedback reflects the amount of heat radiated from the forehead, as an indication of the client’s state.
