The LORETA Current Density Normative Database integrated within NeuroGuide Deluxe. It offers an advanced tool for EEG analysis by leveraging the Key Institute’s ‘T’ matrix and cross-spectrum equations. This allows for the computation of EEG cross-spectrums from each subject in the NeuroGuide normative database, specifically for 2,394 distinct gray matter pixels.
NeuroGuide software has undergone rigorous validation through comparisons with the Key Institute’s software, ensuring reliable performance. The process includes a log10 transformation of current density values provided by the Key Institute, after which the means and standard deviations for each of the 2,394 LORETA current densities are calculated. These values span various age groups, from birth to 82 years. As a result, the system is capable of generating Z-scores for each pixel, enabling users to visualize brain activity using the LORETA viewer, supported by the Key Institute’s cross-spectral equations.
NeuroGuide also offers time-domain export functionality, allowing for detailed examination of individual EEG events. This dual capability facilitates a comprehensive comparison of source localization in both the frequency and time domains.
