The pIR HEG headband
Introducing, the pIR HEG headband! Dr. Jeffrey Carmen produced this experimental device. When used in this fashion, the HEG biofeedback reflects the amount of heat radiated from the forehead, as an indication of the client’s state.
The Temperature Pod
For more context, the Temperature Pod serves as a versatile and advanced interface. It connects to a variety of thermal sensors to a central biofeedback system. This interface supports thermocouple sensors and passive infrared (pIR) sensors. Thus, it makes it adaptable to different types of biofeedback training. Currently, the Temp Pod supports two key sensors: the Finger Temperature Probe and the pIR HEG (hemoencephalography) headband.
Once again, the Temp Pod’s interface with the pIR HEG headband greatly enhances its effectiveness in biofeedback. It is an experimental device designed to monitor biofeedback. Finally, when used in this manner, the HEG biofeedback provides a reflection of the heat radiated from the forehead, serving as an indicator of the client’s physiological state.
